Lydiard Millicent gets festive
Last Modified: Tuesday, 4th December 2018
The green in front of the Parish Hall is looking decidedly more festive now that the Christmas tree is in place.
Early Saturday, battling a gusty wind and some unfestive drizzle, a team of parish councillors put up this year’s Christmas tree. With some new lights and a jaunty angle (thanks to the wind), the tree will brighten the centre of the village in the run up to Christmas.
The annual mince pies at the Parish Hall (thanks to the Parish Hall Committee) were welcome after that.
In the days ahead, there is the Christingle service at All Saints
on Sunday 9th December. And I’m told that Santa may be paying a visit to parts of the Parish courtesy of Royal Wotton Bassett Rotary Club on Friday 14th December.
