Parish Meetings

The Annual Parish Meeting will take place on Thursday 5th March 2020, in the Parish Hall.

Tea and coffee will be served from 7.30pm.  The Agenda can be viewed here

Local Government Act 1972
The Annual Assembly of the Parish Meeting for Lydiard Millicent will be held on Thursday, 5th March 2020, in Lydiard Millicent Parish Hall commencing at 7.30pm.
Local Government electors for Lydiard Millicent will be entitled to vote at the Meeting, which will be open to the public.
The business to be transacted at the meeting will be as follows:
1. Welcome and Apologies for Absence
The Chairman will formally welcome everyone to the meeting.
2. Minutes:
To adopt the minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on Thursday 7th March 2019.  On adoption these will be signed by the Chairman.
3. Reports from Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Constabulary
Wilts. Cllr Mollie Groom will be invited to report on work carried out by the Unitary Council in this parish, and answer any questions raised by residents.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team will provide data for crimes over the past year in this area, and answer any questions.  Due to operational restraints, it may not be possible for the Wiltshire Constabulary representative to stay for the whole meeting.
4. Clubs and Groups
Local Clubs and Organisations have been invited to attend this Parish Meeting. 
Tea and coffee will be served whilst Electors discover what Lydiard Millicent can offer.
It is hoped this will be a very informal part of the Parish Meeting and encourage an exchange of ideas.  Clubs and Organisations will be free to put up display boards and hand out any leaflets advertising their group. 
5. Report from the Parish Council
Cllr Alan Pfleger, Chairman of Lydiard Millicent Parish Council, will present a report detailing Parish Council activities in the last 12 months.
6. Questions from Electors of the Parish
An opportunity for Local Government Electors to debate Parish related issues, ask questions or put forward suggestions.  Whilst this is a public meeting, only Local Government Electors of the Parish are entitled to speak and vote.
